Access Log Manager
Find out more about the Access Log Manager and also the information that may be within it.
An access log is a complete list of all the files that were accessed by the visitors of a given Internet site. Every file which was requested for whatever reason will be listed, so if you have only one page with 3 embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, as an illustration, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for each of the 6 files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the page. A log typically shows the file name and path, the date, as well as the visitor’s Operating System, web browser and IP address. In some cases you can also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The information an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It can be processed by special software on a personal computer and used to prepare reports on the functionality of an Internet site, in addition to the web statistics your server may have generated.

Access Log Manager in Shared Hosting
If you pick one of our shared hosting plans, you’ll receive comprehensive access logs for all of your websites. When you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel, you should check out the Access/Error Logs section where you will see an extensive list of the domains and subdomains you have added or created within the web hosting account. You'll only need to click on the On button, that is found on the right-hand side of every hostname and our cloud platform shall start generating logs straight away. To stop this feature, you will need to follow the exact same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be handled individually and anytime. You can find a download link in the Logs section of the Control Panel for every log generated by our system, so you're able to save the file to your laptop or computer and view it or use it through some log processing software.
- Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server account with us, it will not take more than a few mouse clicks to enable the generation of access logs by our system if you need them. The function could be activated through the Hepsia website hosting Control Panel and this may be done independently for every single domain or subdomain that you have in your account. When you log in and check out the Access/Error Logs section of the Control Panel, you will see a list of all the hostnames with an On/Off button next to every one of them. A single click shall enable the log generation and another one will deactivate it, so you can control this function with great ease. A Download link in the same section will enable you to save the gathered content as a text file, that you can then use on your laptop or computer. Whether or not the logs are deactivated, you will still be able to download the data that's been previously generated. - Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
