Q: Website migration sounds like lots of work. How long does it take?

Q: Do you need something from me before you start transferring my website?
A: We don’t need any sensitive information. We’ll require, however, the login information for your old web hosting account along with the name of the web site that you wish to transfer.

Q: Will there be any outage for my website?
A: While we migrate your site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. As soon as the migration is finished, we will ensure that everything is working correctly and that the integrity of your web content is not affected prior to notifying you that the transfer is finished. After that, we’ll instruct you how to move the domain name over to your web hosting account with us and how to edit the DNS records.

Q: Will my old web hosting provider need to provide any information/assistance?
A: While we move your content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We will not touch base with them in any way.

Q: Does it matter what platform my present hosting provider is using?
A: Yes. We support all traditional Linux–driven hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–powered web hosting platforms, as we don’t offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Furthermore, we do not support proprietary site creation and administration user interfaces like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
